Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles is episode 87 of Blank Check: Special Features as part of the Crocodile Dundee Franchise commentaries. Posted February 1, 2021.

Summary[]

We've made it to the final installment of the CD marathon Checkmates!

It's been 13 years since we last heard from Croc and some big things have changed. Mick and Sue have started a family. They've left the outback for sunny Los Angeles. But what hasn't changed? Those leathery bare arms and amateur fish out of water sleuthing!

Join the gang as they discuss exotic creatures, tax evasion, a litany of character actors that show up in this movie, Ben offers some big punch up ideas for Croc's son and Griffin gives his review of Outback Steakhouse. Plus, their CD rankings, and they announce the next franchise.

The movie starts at...9:53. [1]

Milestones and Ephemera[]

  • Griffin's faint praise award: He likes that they keep the crocodiles front and center.
  • Matthew Berry was on episode 69 (nice) of How Did This Get Made? talking about this movie where he talks about writing it, but mostly about the WGA arbitration process of getting credit for a movie he didn't particularly want credit for. Despite what they say in this episode, he IS the same Matthew Berry who is talks about fantasy sports on ESPN.
  • Box-office game: Weekend of April 20, 2001
