JJ Bersch is a researcher for the podcast along with Nick. He got his PhD in Film from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Biography[]
JJ began doing research for the podcast during the John Singleton miniseries. [1] He is an advocate of putting blueberries in the freezer. [2] In 2023, he was profiled in the Cap Times about all the work he's done for the podcast. [3]
In January 2024, JJ provided a 153 page document of every cited source he's used in a dossier through Podcastl. The official Blank Check website has also begun posting lists of cited sources starting with Podcastl.[4]
In June 2025 JJ met the crew IRL for the first time and appeared on the Blank Check Demand an Audience with King Ralph! live show to both deliver the dossier in person and get fired in person.
JJ continues to be employed by the show despite seemingly being fired in every episode.
