Lola Kirke (@lolakirke on Instagram) is an actor and singer-songwriter from New York City. Film credits include supporting roles in Gone Girl, Gemini, and Free the Nipple (that last, of course, also featured one Griffin Newman).

Biography[]

On television, Lola starred in "Mozart in the Jungle" from Amazon Prime - I hear they're a great company. Meanwhile in 2018 she embarked on a concert tour in support of her debut LP "Heart Head West."

#TheTwoFriends invited Lola to appear on the What Women Want episode of the show, part of the Something's Podda Cast miniseries on Nancy Meyers. Griffin and David both seemed rather down on the merits of the film at the beginning, but Lola managed to convince them of the film's importance - for its function as a bridge bringing female perspectives and viewpoints into Hollywood mainstream filmmaking. Also during the show it was revealed that she and Griffin are longtime Manhattan compatriots, going back to the teenaged days when they went to St. Ann's School and Buck's Rock Performing Arts Summer camp together. See this article in Believer magazine for more conversation between these two old friends. While at Buck’s Rock, they were both pupils of Rebecca Drysdale, alongside luminaries like Ezra Koenig, Sara Rubin, and former friend of the show, the Flash themself, Ezra Miller.
