Summary
Travel may be banned but luckily we’ve got access to ROGUE NATION bay-beeeee. Christopher McQuarrie takes the wheel for the 5th installment of Mission: Impossible and locks into what makes Ethan Hunt work. Why try to be a normal guy when he is in fact, the physical manifestation of destiny??? The four friends talk buggy villains, Tom’s escalating chaotic stunts, and why Rebecca Ferguson’s Ilsa is his perfect match.
The movie starts at... 11:24[1]
Milestones and Ephemera
- Episode 1 of McQuarrie's massive Empire podcast arc: Mission Impossible – Fallout Empire Podcast Spoiler Special Ft. Christopher McQuarrie — Part 1
- Ang makes an excellent comparison between Cruise and Jackie Chan! Cruise has definitely evolved as a stunt performer (not quite to Chan levels, obvi) but still a lot funnier than most people/his older performances.
- Ben teased a Night Eggs development. Startel: “It’s a cartel that operates in space. Bye!”
