Paul Scheer (@paulscheer on Twitter) is an actor, improviser, and podcast host luminary.
Paul was an early performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York, and currently performs at the UCB in Los Angeles. He rose to fame as a member of the improv and sketch comedy troupe Human Giant, including their stint as a television show on MTV, and then starred on the mostly-improvised comedy "The League" on FX for seven seasons.
Most relevant, though, is Paul's status as podcaster extraordinaire. He has appeared as a guest on several shows on the Earwolf podcasting network, was the co-founder of the Wolfpop offshoot network, and is a co-host of the popular long-running bad-movie podcast How Did This Get Made? along with June Diane Raphael and Jason Mantzoukas.
Paul is a Blank Check listener, and he noted that the Crystal Skull episode in particular helped him personally with that movie! So when the busy schedules worked out he jumped at the chance to appear on Blank Check episode #151 Running Scared, a Guest's Choice episode where he picked out the Billy Crystal & Gregory Hines buddy-cop movie specifically for blankies. So often on his own podcast he gets locked into bad movies, of course, so he was excited to get to talk about a great 80's comedy-action movie from his childhood that doesn't often get its due.
